Our Mission

We aim to carefully curate a collection of comfortable and stylish short-stay accommodations in sought after locations, by designing beautiful spaces and providing a high-end guest experience from start to finish.
Our properties are based in areas and buildings that stand for being 'quintessentially British', and to honour this we have given each of them a traditional, old school name, as they all have their own personalities and uniqueness!
Meet the Founder
Hi, I’m Isla
I founded Kandoo Boutique Stays through delving into a few passions of mine - one being providing a high-end guest experience, which first sparked in 2013 when I worked at The Pig in Brockenhurst for 4 years alongside studying at University. Through focusing on attention to the finer details, guests could experience a luxury level of service whilst in a very laid back environment.
When working in such a stunning & traditional building with beautifully designed spaces, this also fired up my interest in property and interior design. The deeply comfortable and homely lounges, restaurant and hotel rooms created a cosy vibe with a Shabby Chic, yet elegant style.
After University in 2018, I moved to London for 4 years to do my accountancy exams for the purpose of one day starting and running my own business - so here I am!
My enthusiasm for holiday lets then came from enjoying renting our place in Cowes on the Isle of Wight from 2020 to guests visiting the area. With this new interest combined with a move to the beautiful city of Bath in 2022 after my stint in London, it made me think there was no better place to start a short-stay property business!

Our Commitment
Our properties: Our aim is for all of our places to be in traditional buildings that are centrally located, have a cosy and homely vibe, are comfortable and stylish, and have a luxury and laid back feel.
High end experience with a personal touch: We strive to go the extra mile by providing high quality cotton linen and towels, being on hand for whenever guests need, and creating bespoke experiences particularly for special occasions to ensure guests get the most out of their stay, so they can look back with fond memories!
Support Local: We value the notion of supporting local, independent businesses which is also particularly prominent in Bath itself, and will be a priority of ours. We aim to achieve this through regular recommendations on our social media and welcome books, as well as collaborations and the use of local products wherever possible.
Our Location
Since moving to Bath we’ve grown particularly fond of it - it’s a small city so there’s a warm community feeling, but at the same time there’s still so much to see and do. Besides it’s beauty - it’s full of buzzing restaurants and cafes, incredible architecture and history, exciting sporting fixtures, a huge array of shopping ranging from hidden independent gems to your household names, and so much more.
The seasons are also particularly dramatic - from the stunning colours on the trees surrounding Bath’s landmarks in Autumn, to the iconic Christmas market in Winter, crisp sunny walks around Bath skyline in Spring, and taking a row boat out on the River Avon or alfresco dining in Summer.
It really is a special place to visit all year round!
